Ghanaian actress Lydia Forson has said that the Electoral Commission’s decision to compile a new voter’s register was not necessary.
She said this on Citi TV’s lifestyle variety show, Upside Down when she was asked if she registered in the just ended exercise.
“Eeeei papa! Even though I didn’t understand the necessity and again I’m not a politician, I don’t know the details; I did not understand why we needed to do this during this pandemic. I’m all about human life first and it just didn’t make any sense to me but then my vote is my power and so it was a sacrifice I had to make even though it was you are dragging me to the world unwillingly but I did; my entire family did,” she added.
Lydia Forson is one of the most opinionated celebrities in Ghana who does not hesitate to share her opinion on issues that affect humanity.
The voter registration exercise which started on came to an end on Thursday August 6, 2020.
The award winning actress has in recent times starred in movies like ‘The Perfect Picture: 10 Years Later’, ‘Keteke’, ‘Sidechic Gang’ all of which have premiered on Netflix.
