PKF Ghana, an international auditing and business advisory firm, has donated assorted food items, toiletries and household consumables to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital as part of its annual corporate social responsibility initiative aimed at supporting mental healthcare delivery.
The donation, made on Friday, December 12, 2025 at the premises of the facility in Accra, aimed at supporting the welfare of inmates ahead of the Christmas season.
Items presented included bags of rice, assorted drinks, toiletries, detergents and other essential supplies.
Speaking at the presentation, Senior Partner of PKF Ghana, Dominic Dorkenoo, said the firm considered it important to give back to society, particularly in areas that often receive limited attention. He noted that mental health was an issue that could affect anyone and, therefore, deserved collective support.
According to him, the donation forms part of the PKF’s annual tradition of supporting the hospital during the Christmas period. He explained that the firm usually engages hospital management ahead of such donations to identify priority needs, after which funds are provided to procure the required items.
Senior Tax Manager at PKF Ghana, Eric Amponsah Boateng, also highlighted the firm’s long-standing presence in Ghana since 1949 and its commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards while contributing to national development through social interventions.
Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, Senior Administrative Officer, Miriam Nutakor, expressed appreciation to PKF Ghana for the support. She said the donation would go a long way to support the care of patients and appealed for continued assistance from corporate institutions.
PKF Ghana, known fully as Pannell Kerr Forster, operates from offices in Accra, Tema and Kumasi and provides audit, tax, payroll and business advisory services. The firm has consistently undertaken corporate social responsibility initiatives to support vulnerable groups across the country.
