Ruyina Global has given opportunities to five young entrepreneurs from the Youth Economic Forum (YEF) Entrepreneurship Challenge 2025 to attend the Global Entrepreneurship Festival (GEF).
This initiative forms part of its partnership with the Business & Financial Times (B&FT) ahead of the upcoming Youth Economic Forum (YEF) Summit.
The market expansion and investment firm connecting Africa and the Caribbean through trade, entrepreneurship and strategic partnerships is offering two of the selected start-ups exhibition booths while providing all five with start-up access tickets, mentorship and global exposure.
The festival is scheduled to take place in Accra from November 21 to 23, 2025 and will feature over 100 global investors, venture capitalists and Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) engaging with high-growth founders and investment-ready businesses.
The initiative also forms part of the company’s goal to help African youth-led businesses become investment-ready and globally competitive.
Dr. Vicki Otaruyina, Co-Founder and Global Market & Brand Expansion Lead at Ruyina Global, stated that her company is dedicated to supporting young innovators in expanding their businesses beyond borders.
“We’re supporting these businesses because we believe that brilliant ideas deserve global reach. Our goal is to ensure that Africa and the Caribbean’s young innovators don’t just participate in the global market, they shape it,” she stated.
The five selected start-ups represent a diverse range of industries, reflecting the dynamism of Ghana’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Renew Farms, Co-founded by Philip Nhyira-Ba Moses, focuses on sustainable farming demonstration and agricultural consulting.
Kite Leatherwork Enterprise, founded by Eugene Kyere, is a Ghanaian brand producing high-quality hand-made leather slippers and sandals; and BioSPACE GH Ltd., headed by Dominic Singban Ugai, transforms agro-waste like plantain fibres into biodegradable packaging, promoting sustainability and green jobs.
Also, K.A. Fashion, headed by Emmanuel Annan Agyei, specialises in men’s bespoke tailoring while training young apprentices in fashion entrepreneurship.
TWiST Beauty Ltd., represented by Coffie Louis, is a beauty-tech start-up app connecting clients to trusted stylists while training women through TWiST Academy and glowtour programmes.
Participation in Global Entrepreneurship Festival promises to offer a life-changing platform for these start-ups, including access to international investors, global mentors, masterclasses by business experts and networking opportunities with innovators and venture capitalists from around the world. They will also attend high-level fora such as the Global Leadership Forum and the International Women’s Congress, gaining insights into scaling and sustainability.
Each start-up will also benefit from media exposure and access to exclusive business development opportunities, demonstrating that strategic collaboration and mentorship can unlock the next generation of globally competitive African enterprises.
