Lou Moon
LOCATION.
Situated a few kilometres east of
Axim, Lou Moon, a paradise resort is set
within a cove with a sombre still sea on
the south side, and roaring waves as the
shore makes a south westerly curve.
Then, almost immediately inland, a
dense tropical forest envelops its north
side! No where else in Ghana gives off
such extraordinary ecological extremes.
Marry that with the stone, wood and glass architecture and decor of the lodge,
along with its hospitality and you get a
perfect getaway!

10 unique rooms in eco-friendly architecture, constructed using locally sourced materials harmonized with surrounding landscape. There are 4 villas, each with its own plunge swimming pool on an island, and 2 suites, 4 standard rooms on the main land, altogether giving a total number of 19 beds.
Each room is distinctive in appeal and, especially the bathrooms are designed to add to the overall aesthetic with minimalist features. Few of them have cute little fridges. VERDICT
I absolutely love this resort for its exquisite appeal and it is so deserving of its famed star destination status. It’s recently undergone some improvements, and maintained a clean, pleasant ambience with very experienced staff who make things seem like a breeze.
Celebrating 20 years only last means they are still young but been around long enough to know a thing or two about giving guests exactly what they deserve; some “prime luxe”! It being a good few hour’s drive away from the capital, where you have endure endless delays on bumpy roads and diversions owing to ongoing construction, still justifies being on your bucket list. Why? Besides the staff ensuring that you are pampered, the nature of the environment, and minimalistic design will enhancing your comfort and connection with nature.
