On Sunday, August 17, through drum, libation, procession and the unveiling of his portrait, not only the name of Marcus Mosiah Garvey – the man whose vision for African unity continues to inspire generations – remembered, his spirit was also lit!
At Nkyinkyim Museum, a gathering in rhythm, memory and purpose was held to honour his life and legacy.
The Drum Collective carried his heartbeat, reminding us that Garvey lives on wherever we gather in rhythm and memory. On his earth day, his words were preserved with clay from the land.
May the vision of Hon. Marcus Mosiah Garvey continue to guide our steps, may his courage inspire our actions, and his enduring light strengthen generations yet to come.
