Established to promote ecotourism while preserving the monkeys’ natural habitat – as the local community considers them sacred, the sanctuary provides guided tours on which one can learn about the sanctuary’s history and conservation efforts as well as interact with the monkeys, who tend to be receptive to being fed by visitors.
