Elom Lardi-Glawu is a quintessentially disciplined corporate professional with extensive experience in the petroleum industry, currently serving as the Petroleum Storage Depot Operations Supervisor at Nationwide Technologies Limited, Tema, Ghana. He’s also a consummate husband and father.
With a career spanning nearly a decade, Mr. Lardi-Glawu has played a pivotal role in supervising and managing operations across several major petroleum companies, including Blue Ocean Investment, Sahara Oil, Cirrus Oil, BOST APD, Tema Oil Refinery, The Tema Tank Farm, Tema Fuel Company, Vana Energy, and Quantum Oil Terminals.
In his current capacity, he oversees the meticulous planning and execution of operations at the petroleum storage depot, ensuring that all activities align with stringent company policies and performance standards.
A critical aspect of his role involves the coordination of the fuel marking programme, a process that ensures the integrity and quality of petroleum products before they are distributed to service providers across the region.
Elom began his career with the National Petroleum Authority in Accra, where he served as a Field Officer from September 2013 to September 2014. During this period, he conducted field inspections at retail outlets and bulk consumption points, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safeguarding the quality of petroleum products.
His responsibilities included preparing detailed reports for zonal management and maintaining a comprehensive database of inspection results, contributing to the authority’s mission to prevent product adulteration.
Prior to his role as a Field Officer, he interned at the National Petroleum Authority. During his internship, he learnt petroleum product marking, providing him with valuable insights into the industry and laid the foundation for his subsequent career.
He was a key member of the team that implemented the National Fuel Integrity programme since its inception in 2013 at the National Petroleum Authority; and is currently a leading member of the team helping to make savings by carrying out the stated related fuel integrity, or marking activities, at the petroleum storage depots before the petroleum product is transported to the various retail outlets across the country.
His vigilance and dedication to this cause has helped the broader efforts to save the Republic in excess of US$10million.
Away from the petroleum industry, Mr. Lardi- Glawu holds an Executive MBA in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School, a qualification that complements his technical expertise with strong financial acumen.
He has furthered his professional development through various certifications, including Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification from PMI, and an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems Training.
He also holds a BA in Sociology & Archaeology from the University of Ghana, and has also earned an Advanced Certificate in Safety, Health, Environment & Entrepreneurial Development from Ghana Technology University College.
