The Continental Re and Ghana Re international seminar 2024 edition takes off at Rock City Hotel at Kwahu, Eastern Region, from September 1st to 7th 2024.
This year’s week-long seminar will spotlight the theme ‘Developing and Executing Reinsurance Treaties’ and aims to discuss how reinsurance treaties can be administered.
This year’s seminar promised to be an insightful and transformative experience for reinsurance officers of insurance companies across West and Central Africa to share their knowledge, experience and innovative strategies that will shape the future of treaty agreements with insurance companies.
The event will assemble distinguished speakers from the two largest reinsurance markets, Ghana and Nigeria, to share their knowledge, experience and innovative strategies to sharpen the insurance companies.
Ahead of the seminar, Dr. Kwaku Appietu-Ankrah, Head-Technical Operations, Ghana Reinsurance Company, expressed his excitement over the two African reinsurance giants collaborating on holding this seminar to impact the West/Central African landscape.
“We are thrilled as we get ready to host this year’s seminar, which will bring out shortfalls of treaty administration in two regions and provide a platform for sharing insights on how to shape future treaty contracts,” Dr. Kwaku Appietu-Ankrah further explained.
According to Dr. Kwaku Appietu-Ankrah, next week’s seminar will be attended by over 70 reinsurance officers from across the two regions. Ghana, the host country, will top the participants list with about 70 underwriters.
