Wilmar Africa LTD, a subsidiary of Wilmar International, headquartered in Singapore was recognized with three awards at the 4th edition of National Governance and Business Leadership Awards (NGBLA) 2024 held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 in Accra, for their outstanding contributions within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMGC) industry.
The NGBLA is a C-level high impact, corporate governance, economic development and strategic leadership awards programme developed by The Governance & Business Boardroom and The Boardroom Magazine to champion and celebrate good corporate governance, leadership and economic empowerment in Ghana.
Head of Human Resources, Administration and Corporate Affairs, Solomon Ohene-Owusu and the HR team were honored with awards in: HR Personality of the Year (FMCG), Exemplary HR Business Leader of the Year (named as part of the top 30 exemplary HR business leaders in Ghana 2023), Outstanding HR Team of Excellence Award (FMCG Gold) for the second consecutive year.
Under his leadership, the HR team has not only excelled in delivering strategic HR solutions but has also fostered an inclusive workplace culture and engagement. This has resulted in talent development, employee experience and organizational effectiveness, positioning Wilmar as an employer of choice.
