Inveteck Global, a cybersecurity firm licensed by the Cyber Security Authority (CSA) is intensifying its training programmes in the country to address the growing demand for skilled professionals in the country’s rapidly digitalising economy.
Between January and June last year, businesses in the country recorded GH¢49.5 million in direct financial losses through cyber fraud activities, official figures show.
This comes as Ghana’s digital infrastructure expands, encompassing online banking and e-governance initiatives, exposing the nation to increased cyber-attacks, and underscoring the urgent need for trained cybersecurity personnel.
Emmanuel Haizel, Director of Training at Inveteck Global, stated: “I am always excited to deliver impactful training at Inveteck Global, empowering organisations and individuals to stay ahead in cybersecurity while making the field accessible and enjoyable for everyone.”
The company offers hands-on cybersecurity courses and comprehensive services, having trained close to 400 professionals in Ghana the past year alone. Already, Inveteck Global’s reputation has drawn attention beyond Ghana’s borders.
Recent cohorts have included government officials from Ghana and India, as well as professionals from the Nigerian government, with the company training close to 1,500 individuals in India and 100 from Nigerian and US over the past two years.
Inveteck Global’s curriculum focuses on practical application, utilizing current technologies and methodologies. Courses range from foundational cybersecurity concepts to advanced topics such as ethical hacking, with a reported 95percent practical component in their training programmes. This comes as the cybersecurity market in Ghana is projected to grow by 15percent annually over the next five years, highlighting the potential for further expansion in training and services.
Former students have reported positive outcomes. Grady Davis, an engineer who transitioned into cybersecurity, stated, “As a mechanical engineer with no prior knowledge in the cyber realm, I took a leap of faith and enrolled in the cyber security course at Inveteck Global, taught by George Kuoribo, lead Cybersecurity Trainer. I was blown away by the comprehensive training, which covered both the fundamentals and advanced topics in cyber security.”
Godfred Quansah, now a Cybersecurity Engineer, praised the company’s ethical hacking course: “Inveteck Global’s ethical hacking course is the best in Ghana, and the best I have seen so far. It is entirely practical, and the instructors are well-resourced individuals with deep knowledge about cybersecurity and anything related to it.”
Bernice A. Dulemordzi, Penetration Tester, noted: “To get quality cybersecurity training in Ghana, Inveteck Global is your best bet. 100percent of their training is practical, and one advantage is that they help you beyond the classroom.”
William Boateng, SOC Analyst said: “Before joining Inveteck Global, I struggled to find a practical training program that met my needs. The hands-on labs and real-world case studies provided me with the skills I needed to excel in my career.
Today, I work as a Security Operations Center Analyst for a leading bank in Ghana, and I owe it all to the top-notch training I received at Inveteck Global.”
