The ACI Financial Markets Association Ghana, the leading national association of financial market, is set to host the maiden ACI Ghana Financial Markets Conference.
The conference, which aims to shape policy and encourage conversations on building a robust financial ecosystem, would be held on August 22, 2024 in Accra.
The maiden conference will include discussions on creating a dynamic and conducive financial ecosystem that fosters innovation-driven growth.
In a presser to shed more light on the upcoming conference, president – ACI Ghana Financial Markets, Lawrence Osilaja Boampong, emphasised the need for collaborations to nurture growth, especially with the advent of emerging technology, noting that technological advancements in finance are revolutionising traditional banking practices and expanding the reach of financial services to previously under-served populations.
“Market dynamics, influenced by global trends and local socio-economic factors, are driving the emergence of new business models, products and customer preferences. These forces usher Ghana’s financial landscape into uncharted territories with opportunities and complex challenges for industry to navigate,” he added.
Mr. Boampong further indicated that the ACI Ghana Financial Markets Conference will also seek to promote ethical excellence of professionals and explore ways to drive inclusivity and equitable access to financial services.
With panel discussions on pertinent areas such as Fintech and financial inclusion, ethics in financial markets, technological dynamics and more, the conference will assemble over 500 industry players, regulatory authorities, policy-makers and distinguished speakers from Europe and across Africa.
The conference forms parts of activities by ACI Ghana to ensure the development of Ghana’s financial markets through education, ethical conduct of professionals, innovation and inclusive growth.
