Bboxx Ghana celebrated a significant milestone with the opening of its first retail shop in Kumasi. The company allows customers to own a smartphone and other essential products and services by paying an initial deposit, followed by small daily or weekly repayments over four to six months.
The new store, located at Sofoline, opposite Prempeh College and adjacent to GCB Bank, attracted an impressive turnout of staff, business partners, and customers eager to witness the event.
The launch ceremony was marked by a speech from Bboxx Ghana’s Managing Director, Leticia Insaidoo, who expressed her excitement about the company’s expansion.
“We at Bboxx Ghana are very excited about opening this retail shop because it marks a significant part of our vision of expanding our reach across Ghana, especially in the Ashanti region,” . She emphasized the company’s mission to unlock potential by providing access to essential goods and services.
Mrs. Leticia Insaidoo highlighted the importance of proximity to customers, stating, “We are passionate about unlocking potential by providing access to essential goods and services, and we are able to do that when we are within arm’s reach of the customer.
By opening this retail shop at Sofoline, we are effectively positioning ourselves to serve our current and potential customers better.”
She also noted that since introducing Bboxx Ghana’s smartphone pay-as-you-go service in the Ashanti region, Bboxx has helped over 4,000 customers acquire smartphones, positively impacting many households.
Mrs. Leticia Insaidoo also detailed the broader vision of Bboxx, which includes providing access to digital learning platforms, supporting small businesses in expanding their online commerce, and driving financial inclusion.
“Imagine providing access to digital learning platforms, helping small businesses expand their customer reach through online commerce platforms, and driving financial inclusion through our first retail shop in Kumasi.
This is the vision of Bboxx: to bring down the barrier of inaccessibility to digital inclusion, providing the solution of owning an essential tool like a smartphone via flexible payment terms.”
The Managing Director also extended an invitation to the industrious people of the Ashanti region to join Bboxx’s network of retail agents and direct sales representatives.
“By extending our retail footprint to Kumasi, we are signaling to all the good people of the Ashanti region that Bboxx is here to do business for good.
“We are therefore extending an invitation to all industrious sons and daughters of the Ashanti land to come join our network of retail agents or direct sales representatives since there is genuine good money to be made as we improve lives and livelihoods in this industrious city and region.”
The launch event concluded with a tour of the new retail shop, where attendees had the opportunity to explore the range of products and services offered by Bboxx. Customers expressed their enthusiasm for the convenience and accessibility the new shop would provide.
