3Media Networks has announced the esteemed 3Music Awards’ return, set to come off in September, 2024.
The awards ceremony has been redesigned to honour musicians and highlight the greatest in music while also celebrating musical brilliance and setting new industry standards.
Addressing the press, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)-3Media Networks Rashida Yasmeen Abdulai emphasised the company’s reaffirmed dedication to presenting the greatest in music and elevating artists’ voices, resulting in an inclusive and remarkable experience. She also noted that the event is a celebration of creativity, talent and vibrant culture.
“Today, I am thrilled to announce the return of 3 music awards in September; I repeat, 3Music Awards is coming in September. After a year halts, we have reimagined our approach to ensure music awards celebrate musical excellence and set new industry standards. The 3music Awards is more than an event, it is a celebration of creativity, talent and vibrant culture,” she announced.
This year, according to Madam Abdulai, new features will captivate the audience and honour influential artists. She expressed gratitude to the board, associates, sponsors and advocates for their unwavering dedication to the concept that brought 3Music Awards back to life.
“This year, we are introducing fresh elements to captivate the audience and honour artists who inspire us. Our renewed commitment is to display the best in music and amplify the voices of our artists, creating an inclusive and an unforgettable experience.
I extend my profound gratitude to the board, our partners, sponsors and everyone who has supported us over the years. The unwavering belief in our vision has been instrumental in bringing the 3Music Awards back to life,” she said.
“We look forward to continuing this journey together. Mark your calendars for coming September; we look forward to celebrating the music, artistry and magic of the 3Music Awards,” she added.
In a presentation, Head-Brands & Marketing, 3Media Networks, Cyril-Alex Gockel said the 3Music Awards have served as a standard for excellence in Ghana’s music industry, and its return is eagerly awaited.
He outlined the creative endeavours of 3Media Networks, such as a thought-leadership conference called ‘ReFresh’ and flagship morning show ‘Culture Daily’, which is a podcast.
“Besides the groundbreaking 3Music Awards scheme and our flagship podcast-styled morning show ‘Culture Daily’, we have in the last 2 years initiated a lot of exciting and commercially successful online and offline initiatives which continue to push the growth of our brand, 3MusicTV,” he stated.
‘Culture Daily’ – led by Jay Foley, Olele Salvador, C-Real and Lemy Lomotey – has become the go-to 3hr viewing experience for smart, engaging and insightful conversations on tv & digital.
“With an enviable array of guests ranging from international artistes, business moguls, legends and rising stars, Culture Daily has set its place in the hearts of all those looking for a breath of fresh air with accessibility to view on Facebook, Youtube & TV,” Cyril-Alex Gockel added.
Mr. Gockel believes that in-person gatherings such as ReFresh, a conference on thought-leadership and career impact, have introduced important discussions, figures and experiences to the tertiary sector. He thanked sponsors and partners for their contributions.
He pledged that the 2024 awards show would break all previous records and bring the music business, as well as its producers, partners and financiers, to new heights.
“Currently on tour and headed to our 3rd location this year, we’ve already engaged University of Ghana, UGBS & School of Creative Arts and University of Education, Winneba. ReFresh is a platform we built to bridge the very large gap between academic theory and real-world insights.
With the support of partners like AT, Fiesta Condoms and others, we intend to ReFresh the minds of tertiary students across the entire country as we challenge them to think, think and think again,” he said.
