The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has launched his constituency-to-constituency campaign with an event for widows in Bunkpurugu, shortly after unveiling his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, in Kumasi.
Hundreds of widows and enthusiastic NPP supporters gathered to hear Dr. Bawumia outline his vision for the future. Emphasizing his roots in the region, the Vice President stressed the importance of local engagement as he prepares for the 2024 elections.
The Vice President expressed his readiness to share his vision for the nation’s progress and emphasized his commitment to initiatives that would benefit the country as a whole. He shared his aspirations for development and improvement across various sectors.
In his address, Dr. Bawumia appealed to the widows for their support in the upcoming election, assuring them that his presidency would focus on policies and actions to improve their lives.
He said, “I am your son and your husband, and therefore I am asking for your support, so I can help you when I become the president of Ghana in 2025.”
The event highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to grassroots engagement and his intent to connect directly with voters, reinforcing his campaign’s focus on inclusive development and support for all citizens.
