A delegation from GCB Bank, led by its Managing Director Kofi Adomakoh, paid a courtesy visit to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osmanu Nuhu Sharubutu in Accra, and presented assorted food items along with a donation of GH?100,000 to support this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.
The items include 15 gallons of oil, 100 packs of bottled water, 40 packs of dates, 15 bags of sugar, 20 bags of rice and two large bags of beans.
In addition to the donation, the visit aimed to strengthen the already strong business relationship between the bank and the Muslim community.
Mr. Adomakoh expressed gratitude to the National Chief Imam for his significant contribution to fostering peace – both within the nation and beyond.
He said the donation aligns with the bank’s commitment to supporting the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan.
“The donation is an example of our ongoing efforts to make a positive impact in the lives of Ghanaians. It demonstrates our corporate social responsibility and portrays our solidarity and compassion toward those in need,” he added.
The Chief Imam conveyed his heartfelt appreciation for the gesture and offered prayers for Allah’s blessings upon the bank. He also commended GCB for its pivotal role in national development and encouraged the bank to persist in prioritising the interests of Ghanaians.
While stressing the importance of unity and solidarity among different religious communities in the country, he lauded the bank for its commitment to supporting the needy.
He also acknowledged the current economic challenges encountered by families and expressed gratitude for the timely donation, assuring that the items would be distributed to needy families within the Muslim community.
