The first edition of ‘Orijin Untamed’ has ended, with Jay Wilder winning the ultimate prize of GH¢80,000 and the bragging rights as winner of the competition.
Also known as Fred Acheamfo Okyere, Jay Wilder’s win became possible after competing with seven other finalist.
Followed by his mega achievement for the night was Blakk Berry, who placed second while Kay Magma and Klasic Again won the third and fourth position respectively. They all received consolidation prizes.
Round two of the competition separated the boys from the men, as four finalists out of the eight continued with the rap-battle, leaving Sumoney, IKNA, Mat De Poet and MessiJay to loose their right to compete for the cash prize.
The Marketing Manager of International Spirits and Ready to Drink brands at Guinness Ghana Breweries PLC, Nana Yaa Amoah-Owusu, indicated that her outfit is committed in providing a platform for young people to exhibit their talents; hence, Orijin Untamed would be an annual event.
About Orijin Untamed
In August, Orijin, a subsidiary of Guinness Ghana Breweries, launched a campaign dubbed ‘Celebrating Orijinality’, which was aimed at celebrating its eight years of existence in the industry.
The activities to mark the 8th anniversary birthed ‘Orijin Untamed’ – a platform where young artists exhibit and nurture their talent. The journey started with a road show in August in Accra, Tamale and Kumasi, where two contestants were selected from each zone, with the exception of Accra – having four representatives.
