Zenith Bank Ghana has seized yet another opportunity to stand out among its peers through the beautification of Accra’s cityscape.
As the pacesetter of what has become a national initiative to beautify the city’s landscape during this festive period, it launched its Christmas festivities and lit up Zenith Heights and some very prominent parts of the city including the Big-six Roundabout, the median towards the Big Six Roundabout as well as the Terminal 3 Roundabout all in the airport enclave.
In a short ceremony held at the bank’s head office in Accra, the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Henry Onwuzurigbo said the ceremony, which the bank held dear to its heart not only marked the end of the year but also the birth of Christ who he said was the sure foundation and the giver of hope.
“Let the lights of the cityscape here on Independence Avenue and at the Big Six Roundabout, its median as well as at the Terminal Three Roundabout in the Airport enclave be a reminder of the bright future we continue to build together as a bank and as a nation,” he said.
Historic feat
Despite the financial year’s challenge, Mr. Onwuzurigbo said the bank chalked historic feat and was determined to stretch its limits a notch higher and outperform the 2023 fiscal year.
He further indicated that between September 2022 and September 2023, the bank gained its best unaudited pre-tax profit ever with a growth of 82 percent- from GHS403 million to GHS735 million.
