The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says notwithstanding the excellent relations that exist between Ghana and Germany, Ghana has decided to turn our back on the old Ghanaian economy, which has been dependent on the production and export of raw materials, and also dependent on aid.
The Consul-General of Ghana in Lagos, Mr. Maxwell Awiaya, on Wednesday, disclosed that there are about 500,000 Ghanaians currently living in different Nigerian cities and communities.
Germany and Ghana are to work together on issues including economic cooperation and migration. President Nana Akufo-Addo will also back Germany's bid for a permanent place on the UN Security Council.
