Communications Director of Asante Kotoko, Sarfo Duku, says the team will battle until the end for success in the Ghana Premier League and MTN FA Cup.
Kotoko advanced to the FA Cup final after beating Berekum Chelsea 1-0 in the semi-finals of the competition at the Tarkwa TNA Park earlier in May.
Kotoko face Golden Kick in the final, and are heavy favourites to win the competition against the Division One side.
Kotoko’s struggles have been in the league, where they fell five points behind league leaders Nations FC following a 0-0 stalemate against Bibiani GoldStars on Sunday.
The result at the Dun’s park means a win for Nations FC in their next Ghana Premier League tie against Holy Stars will mathematically rule Kotoko out of contention for the Ghana Premier League.
Despite the slim chances of Kotoko’s title challenge, Communications Director of the Porcupine Warriors, Sarfo Duku, is hopeful a domestic double is attainable.
“Technically, we can win the league but it is difficult. Our attention is on both the league and the FA Cup,” he said.
“Until the final whistle in the last match of the league, we cannot say it is over. Because technically, it is possible, although difficult,” he added.
Kotoko are yet to be defeated since the appointment of Karim Zito as interim boss; winning three games and drawing two across all competitions.
The Porcupine Warriors face Medeama on Sunday as they look to maintain their title charge.
