Two others, including a pregnant woman, have also been injured through same incident and are receiving treatment at the same facility.
The woman was taking a rest with the two children when the incident occurred.
Speaking to Onua News, Assemblyman for Gomoa Buduburam Electoral Area, Emmanuel Dogbey revealed that, the victims and other tenants were resting under the tree when it fell on them.
He says majority of those at the scene during the incident were able to escape with the exception of the pregnant woman and the two children who got injured.
Mr. Dogbey also disclosed that the doctors at the St. Gregory facility have informed him at the time he visited the victims that the child whose condition is critical has to be transferred to the Winneba Trauma and Specialist Hospital.
Meanwhile, the remaining two are in stable condition.
“I was informed of a disaster behind the Ecobank that a big tree had fallen on a pregnant woman and some two kids. I run to the hospital and saw them and I have made sure that they are taking care of them. I have informed the DCE and she asked me to be with the parents to know the way forward and how we can also help.
“The doctors told me one of the kids had to be transferred to Winneba Trauma but the other kid and the pregnant woman were stable,” he explained.
