
The 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) took place on May 10, 2025 at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) filed with its usual glitz and glamour.
The most decorated artiste for the night was King Promise who took home four awards including the Artiste of the Year, his first time winning the covetous award.
Despite all the glitz and glamour, the many awards won and the euphoria at the event, some notable artistes missed out on awards for various nominations.

Sarkodie, a two-time Artiste of the Year winner and multiple winner of the Best Rap Performance won zero award after securing five nominations. He was nominated for the Best Rap Performance, Collaboration of the Year, Best Hiplife/HipHop artiste of the year, Best Hiplife song, Best HipHop song but took none of these.
Black Sherif, a contender for this year’s Artiste of the Year award also failed to secure any award for the night. He was nominated for Artiste of the Year, Telecel Most Popular Song of the Year, Hiplife Song of the Year, Best HipHop song, Best Hiplife/HipHop artiste and Best Afropop song of the Year.

Kwesi Arthur earned one nomination in this year’s awards and missed it.
Other notable artistes who did not take home an award include; Medikal, Kuami Eugene, Mr Drew, Eno Barony, Lyrical Joe, Samini, Okyeame Kwame, Lasmid, Amerado most of them secured only one nomination.
Stonebwoy, King Paluta, Kweku Smoke all won three awards each with King Paluta’s ‘Aseda’ wining the most popular song of the year while Stonebwoy also took home the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year, his tenth award for that category.

KIDI, Joe Mettle, Ayisi, Kofi Kinaata, Beeztrap KOTM, OliveTheBoy, Fameye all picked up awards on the night.
