President John Dramani Mahama is set to unveil a comprehensive Code of Conduct for all government appointees on Monday, May 5, 2025, as part of efforts to promote transparency and accountability in public office.
Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister in Charge of Government Communications, shared the announcement via social media, highlighting the significance of the upcoming week in the context of the President’s 120-day Social Contract.
“President Mahama enters an important week in which stock will be taken of the rollout of his 120-day Social Contract,” Kwakye Ofosu wrote.
“It begins tomorrow with the unveiling of a strict Code of Conduct to regulate the activities of all appointees and ensure transparency and accountability in government.”
The new Code of Conduct is expected to lay down clear ethical guidelines and operational standards for ministers, advisors, and other top officials, reinforcing Mahama’s pledge to deliver responsible governance.
