In Uganda, this hand appears far from visible, as day in day out, Ugandans cry for change. It is almost logical to say Ugandans have taken back the power to determine what happens in their country.

But when a renowned politician goes missing for days on end, and no one seems to know his whereabouts, it cast doubt on whether Ugandans have the ultimate power over their nation. And if they don’t, then who does?

The same could be said about the M23 rebel uprising in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Taking a moment to breath in peace, the Central African nation stands the threat of war, this time threatening divide various African countries into who is for and against them.

It would appear like the M23 rebels hold the keys to this new conflict and uprising, but they’ve been disgruntled for a long time, why rise up now?

While Dr. Besigye threatens National Security in Uganda, the M23 rebels do the same in the DRC. Now while the world tries to wrap itself around the intentions behind their actions, the bigger question should be how to broker peace and move forward into stability.

And I’ve not known a better peace maker, than the Lord Almighty, creator of the heavens and the earth.

All seeing, the Lord watches over nations, guiding them through the maze of human affairs. His blueprint is clear; preservation, prosperity, and enlargement – a divine agenda for individuals and nations to thrive, not just survive.

This divine agenda is orchestrated through individuals, and in this day through one specific man, Prophet Elvis Mbonye. Ensuring the nations step into their destinies, Prophet Elvis Mbonye has through a number of prophecies shaped the course of nations.

Appointing leaders and ousting others, his words as many have come to learn, are not mere words, they are a pieces and keys of a divine puzzle.

Following a recently signed peace agreement, I imagine the leaders thought little of this prophecy. Yet as sure as night follows day, it came to pass with the resurgence of conflict by the M23 rebels. For 10 years the leaders of the DRC could have used this prophecy to prepare for this war, but for 10 years they played deaf, and are now stuck in war.

For Uganda’s Dr. Besigye, the people’s champion and voice of reason against poor governance, being apprehended like a sneaky puppy with its paw in the cookie jar is almost driving the nation to chaos.

The question we should be asking though, isn’t how we got here, it is how we get out. What is the way forward for Uganda, Congo, and countries that are caught up in this web of conflict? I think the solution lies with he who had foresight into these events in the first place, for he sure does have foresight into the future as well.
