Andre Ayew was imperious for Le Havre on Saturday night as they twice came from behind to seal a 4-3 win over Lens in the French Ligue 1.
In front of a sold out Stade Bollaert-Delelis, the home side opened the scoring early in the game when El Aynaoui expertly converted from 12 yards.
Ruben Aguilar’s strike inside 19 minutes doubled the hosts advantage as Lens looked set to run riot.
However, an Andre Ayew five-minute spell of magic brought the struggling visitors hope.
Andre set up Issa Soumare, who found the net from range before steering his header into the net minutes later.
The visitors were fortunate to head into the break level after Wesley Said’s strike was ruled out by the Video assistant referees (VAR).
Le Havre didn’t ride their luck for long as Machado’s second assist of the game fell to Sotoca, who finished confidently for Lens.
Josue Casimir ensured the game was far from over as he restored parity for the visitors after the hour mark.
It was the visitors who had the final laugh as Ahmed Hassan’s penalty saw them come from behind twice to nick all three points.
Meanwhile, Andre Ayew’s goal marked his fourth in Ligue 1 this season, with all of his four strikes coming since the turn of the year.
Le Havre, 16th in the standings, will be hoping to avoid relegation in the 18-team league.
