The Chiefs and people of the Weta Traditional Area, led by His Royal Majesty Togbiga Akpo Ashiakpor VI, the Paramount Chief, have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama for appointing their illustrious son, Mr. Afetsi Awoonor, as the Managing Director of the Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation (BOST) Company.
In a letter dated 18th January 2025 and signed by Zikpitor Cletus Kuzagbe, Secretary to the Weta Traditional Area, the council praised the President for recognising the leadership qualities of Mr. Awoonor.
They described his appointment as a testament to President Mahama’s commitment to promoting capable individuals who can contribute significantly to national development.
“This appointment not only reflects your commitment to recognising capable leaders like Mr. Awoonor, whose expertise and dedication will significantly contribute to the success of BOST and the nation as a whole, but it has also brought immense pride and joy to the entire Weta community,” the letter stated.
The Chiefs commended the alignment of Mr. Awoonor’s selection with President Mahama’s reset agenda and expressed confidence that he would execute his duties with excellence and integrity.
“We are confident he will serve with excellence and integrity to meet your expectations,” the council added.
The Chiefs and people of Weta also assured the President of their unwavering support and prayers for his administration as it works towards advancing Ghana’s development.
