The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has urged the electorate to vote for him on December 7 to succeed President Akufo-Addo.
The Vice President said he is best placed to take the country to its next level of development.
“I represent the future of this country. The choice that we have is between backward and the future. Do we want to go forward or backwards?” he asked the supporters at the final rally of the party held at the Legon Sports Stadium on December 5.
Dr Bawumia stressed that a vote for him on December 7 means a brighter future for Ghana.
“We believe it is possible to transform this country into an advanced country. We believe in possibilities because we have a mindset of possibilities,” Dr Bawumia stated.
“Are we going into the future or we are going into the past with ‘nkukor nkitinkiti’ (Chicks)” he teased.
The NPP flagbearer touted the achievements of the government and called for their retention in power.
“We have solved the problems of parents who could not afford secondary school fees. Today, over 5 million students have benefitted. We have restored teacher trainee allowance and expanded education infrastructure. There is no government that has invested in health infrastructure than the Akufo-Addo Bawumia government,” he asserted.
