The Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana International Trade and Finance Conference (GITFiC), Selasi Kofi Ackom, has honoured an invitation from the United Nations Economic Community for Africa to be part of the 3rd Joint Intergovernmental Committee of Senior Officials and Experts session.
The session is scheduled to be held in Rabat, Morocco.
This comes in the wake of the participation of the United Nations Secretary General at the 8th GITFiC on Global Debt Initiative.
The UN Secretary General was represented by the Director of UNECA SRO West Africa during the September 6, 2024 programme in Accra, Ghana.
Mr Kofi Ackom will moderate a panel on the topic ‘Exploiting Innovative Digital Technologies to Promote intra-regional Trade’.
This will be discussed as an offshoot of the main theme: ‘Accelerating AfCFTA Implementation in North and West Africa through Digital Transformation and Economic Diversification’.
The GITFiC CEO will be received in Casablanca by his firm’s head of protocol in Rabat.
He is expected to hold sideline meetings with three ministries in the Kingdom of Morocco on the AfCFTA, Global Debt Initiative and the GITFiC-AfCFTA Tertiary Students Club on the about-to-be-launched AfCFTA Curriculum for Africa’s Tertiary Institutions in February 2025.
