Ignore propaganda that I will allow Fulanis to destroy your farms if elected – Bawumia assures farmers

Flagbearer of the NPP Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has discounted claims and accusations by the NDC that under his presidency, Fulanis will be allowed to destroy peoples’ farms.

Addressing party supporters at a ‘Bawumia Connect’ event on November 13, Dr Bawumia insisted that his presidency will be a government for all without any discrimination.

The NPP flagbearer received a rousing welcome when he mounted the stage to address the party supporters at Sekyere Odumasi.

“Fulani people are you here? I am hearing that there is some propaganda to the effect that when I become president, you will be allowed to destroy peoples’ farms, those are lies,” he assured.

“Everybody will be treated by the law, don’t listen to that propaganda, that we are going to give Fulanis power to destroy your farm crops, all these are lies so don’t listen to that propaganda. It will not happen so ignore those propaganda, it will not happen, we should all be united and vote for number one,” Dr Bawumia urged.

“All of you have seen what Gifty Ndoma the parliamentary candidate has done for you. She has not been a member of parliament before, but she has done so much for you. If you bring her, I will also give her a job to do in addition to what she will be doing, vote for her, number one, ” the NPP flagbearer appealed.

This propaganda may have gained grounds due to the fact that Dr Bawumia’s wife, Samira Bawumia, is a Fulani, hence the need for him to address the issue.
