The latest edition of the Afrobarometer Report has revealed that 85% of Ghanaians want free senior high school (FSHS) programme to be maintained.
The report also states that 80% of Ghanaians want e-levy cancelled, 82% have experienced some degree of poverty and unemployment top concern of Ghanaians and Ghanaians struggle to access basic services.
The report, compiled by the Centre for Democratic Development (CDD) also pointed out that 82% of Ghanaians surveyed said the country is headed in the wrong direction.
According to details of the report which were disseminated in Accra on October 31, only “15% of Ghanaians think Ghana is headed in the right direction.
The report further revealed that “85% of Ghanaians want free SHS maintained, 80% of Ghanaians want e-levy cancelled, 82% have experienced some degree of poverty and unemployment top concern of Ghanaians and Ghanaians struggle to access basic services.”
The Afrobarometer report is a Pan-African, non-partisan survey research network that provides reliable data on African experiences and evaluations of democracy, governance, and quality of life.
Its goal is to give the African public a voice in policy and decision-making.
