Former President John Dramani Mahama has cut the sod for a 500-seater capacity ultra-modern sports complex in Bole in the Savannah Region, which after its completion is expected to serve the people of the area.
The sod cutting, Mr Mahama with the support of the chiefs and elders of Bole Traditional Area is fully funded by the former President and flagbearer of the NDC.
The sports complex is expected to be natural Greengrass AstroTurf with a sports dressing/changing room, resting room and washrooms for sportsmen and women. The facility will also contain a volleyball and a tennis ball court with a swimming pool embedded.
Additional facilities will be a car park and a basketball pitch. The edifice is expected to be completed before the end of this year.
As part of the sod cutting ceremony, HE John Dramani Mahama urged the contractor to put in place all necessary measures to make sure the facility fits the highest standard of its kinds. The project is facilitated by Hon. Yusif Sulemana, MP for Bole-Bamboi Constituency.
I am clear in my mind what has to be done to halt the daily increase in the price of food and other essential commodities because of the economic mismanagement by the government of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.
We must halt the hardship on people, and go back to the days of price… pic.twitter.com/Kp5RlUoQTr
