Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has signed a three-year contract extension with the club, keeping him until 2027.
The Spaniard’s current deal was expected to run out at the end of the season, after joining the team in 2019.
Arteta took the stead of Unai Emery, after being an assistant manager to Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
The 42-year-old led Arsenal to FA Cup glory in the 2019-20 season and has since finished as runners-up to Manchester City in the league twice.
Arsenal are away to Spurs in the north London derby on Sunday in their first game after the international break, having picked up seven points from a possible nine in their first three outings.
Arterta will be hoping to steer Arsenal to their first English top-flight crown since the 2003-04 season.
