Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama has said he is committed to bringing Ghana’s economy back to life, creating jobs for the youth, and easing the burdens on hardworking families.
He reiterated his call to Ghanaians to vote for him because he has the experience to lead Ghana.
Mr Mahama states that Ghana requires steady leadership, someone who knows how to navigate stormy seas and transform challenges into opportunities.
“We cannot and should not allow our future to be tossed into the uncertainty of untested hands. The stakes are simply too high,” he wrote on Facebook.
Below is his full post.
I listened attentively to Nkrankwantahene, Baffour Adjei Ekyea Kumbi II, at a community durbar on Wednesday and to his eloquent outlining of the developmental projects his traditional area received during my previous tenure as president and the situation today, where the area has not received any major projects to improve the people’s living conditions over the last almost eight years.
Yet again, it brought home the unprecedented challenges many households and communities face because of a combination of the teetering economy, which is on the edge of ruin, lousy governance and high-level corruption of the Akufo-Addo and Bawumia administration.
To make matters worse, excessive taxes are straining workers and business owners, while unemployment is skyrocketing.
This is why we must be decisive on December 7 to choose a leader with EXPERIENCE and a good track record. In these perilous times, our beloved country requires steady leadership—someone who knows how to navigate stormy seas and transform challenges into opportunities.
We cannot and should not allow our future to be tossed into the uncertainty of untested hands. The stakes are simply too high.
I am proud to say I am that steady hand on the wheel. I have a proven track record of economic transformation and good governance, and I am prepared to lead Ghana through these turbulent waters. My experience is the bedrock of my vision for our nation.
The journey ahead will not be easy, but I am committed to bringing our economy back to life, creating jobs for our youth, and easing the burdens on hardworking families. We must rebuild trust in our institutions and ensure every Ghanaian can thrive.
Join me in this fight for a better future. Together, we can steer our country away from the brink and into a new era of growth and prosperity, ‘Building the Ghana we all want”.
Make a choice for experience.
Choose a leader with a history of achievement.
Choose and vote, Mahama!
