Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew received Leicester City’s Goal of the Month accolade for August, after his sensational outside-of-the-box finish against Tranmere Rovers in the EFL Cup.

The forward, who completed an £8m switch from Crystal Palace to Leicester in the summer, opened the scoring for the Foxes in a 4-0 rout on his first start for his new club.
Jordan teed up Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi for Leicester’s third and his first assist for the club, as Harry Winks added the finishing touch to seal the win in stoppage time.
Ayew becomes the latest Ghanaian to win the goal of the month award for Leicester City since his teammate, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, won it in April after scoring from a similar range against Southampton en route to Premier League qualification.
The Ghanaian marksman still awaits his first league goal for Leicester as his two appearances are yet to amount to anything tangible for the club.
Meanwhile, Leicester City are away to Jordan’s former side Crystal Palace in the first game after the international break on Saturday.
