The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mahamudu Bawumia will file his nomination for the presidential election on Monday September 9.
This is contained in a press release issued by the General Secretary of the party, Justine Koduah Frimpong.
“The NPP is pleased to announce to the general public that the Party’s 2024 Presidential Candidate, H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia would, on Monday, September 9, 2024, file his presidential nomination at the headquarters of the Electoral Commission.
The Vice President and Leader of the Party would be accompanied by his Running Mate and Vice Presidential Candidate, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Party’s National Chairman and General Secretary, the Majority Leader in Parliament, and some few Party Leaders,” portions of the press release dated September 8 read.
“After filing his presidential nomination, the Presidential Candidate would be addressing party sympathizers and the general public at the Party’s National Headquarters at 9:00am,” Mr Frimpong announced.
The Party urged members and the general public to be part of “this historic moment of POSSIBILITY in Ghana’s Next Chapter.”
