Nana Frimpomaa Sarpong Kumankumah has won the presidential primaries of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP).
She garnered 763 out of the 136o votes in the internal elections which took place on Wednesday, September 4
Her contender Yaw Anokye Frimpong polled 586 of the total votes cast.
11 votes were rejected.
Addressing the media after her election, she said “Once one person has won and especially when it is so decisive we only need to have unity moving forward.
“This a victory for the Convention People’s Party.”
