200m Olympic champion Letsile Tebogo eased his way to a 9.87s 100m win at the Rome Diamond League meet on Friday.
Tebogo, who came into the competition with 200m wins in Lausanne and Silesia, had a strong field to go against.
United State’s duo Fred Kerley and Christian Coleman lined up alongside Tebogo, so did fellow African and Kenyan Ferdinand Omanyala.
2020 Olympic gold medallist and home favourite Marcell Jacobs was also in the mix, but it was Tebogo who got over the line quickest.
The 21-year-old eased down with 15 meters to go as he danced his way to the finish line, while gazing at former world champions Fred Kerley and Christian Coleman.
Coleman came second in 9.92s while Fred Kerley finished in 9.95s.
Tebogo turns his attention to the Diamond league final (which is expected to take place on September 5) as he looks to close out a successful season.
