Ghanaian comedic actor Clement Bonney, popularly known as ‘Mr. Beautiful,’ has offered a different view about polygamy, endorsing the practice.
In a recent interview with Property FM in Cape Coast, the veteran Kumawood star opined that people with less financial stability often perceive polygamy as a burden on men.
According to Mr. Beautiful, polygamy can be a viable and manageable arrangement for those with sufficient financial resources.
He explained that wealthier men do not view the practice of having multiple wives as unnecessary as they have the financial means
“In this world, if you don’t have money and people talk about having multiple wives, you would see it as a pointless issue.
“When you’re broke or poor and they discuss people who have married two or three wives, you get angry and say it’s stupid.
“Because you don’t have money, that’s why you are angry and raining all manner of insults, but if you were rich, you’d realize that having multiple wives is actually quite enjoyable,” he stated.
