The New Patriotic Party in its 2024 manifesto has promised to provide a special travel privileges for creatives.
The party launched its manifesto on Sunday, August 18 at the Ghana Secondary Technical School in Takoradi.
The manifesto highlighted the importance of such an initiative for creatives in the sector.
It says they will “establish a Travel Protocol Service (TPS) for the creative community, to enable artistes, performers, and other creatives, honour international performances and shows.”
The policies also reiterated some of the promises made by the party’s flagbearer during his lecture at the UPSA on February 7 for the creative sector.
The NPP has promised to “use tax incentives, including a flat tax, to incentivise private sector investments in sports, tourism, and creative arts facilities” and to “implement an e-visa policy for all international visitors to Ghana, to make visa acquisition fast and convenient for visitors.”
They party also intends to “roll out a visa-free policy for all nationals of African and Caribbean countries visiting Ghana” and “establish, in partnership with the private sector, a streaming and digital management platform for Ghanaian content developers in the creative arts.”
