In a remarkable display of leadership and concern for public safety, the Parliamentary Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Adentan Constituency, Akosua Asaa Manu, popularly known as Kozie, took swift action to address a potentially life-threatening situation in the Nii Ashaley Electoral Area of Ashaley Botwe.
On Saturday, August 10, during her house-to-house campaign, Kozie responded decisively to the imminent danger posed by a dilapidated high-tension electric pole that was on the verge of collapse, carrying live cables.
The hazardous condition of the pole had gone unaddressed despite repeated appeals from residents to the current Member of Parliament.
However, Kozie, upon being informed of the situation by an elderly opinion leader in the community, immediately recognized the gravity of the threat and vowed to take swift action.
True to her word, Kozie promptly contacted the relevant authorities, and within less than 24 hours, the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) had dispatched engineers to replace the deteriorating pole.
This rapid response not only averted a potential disaster but also earned Kozie the admiration and gratitude of the community.
Residents, who had long felt neglected, were astonished by the speed and efficiency of Kozie’s intervention.
For them, this was a clear demonstration of the #KozieCares mantra in action—a leader who listens, acts, and prioritizes the well-being of her constituents.
