La Liga is officially back in full flight. 20 teams are set to battle for that coveted trophy and the periodic buzz around matches between Real Madrid and Barcelona will come sooner rather than later.
But Ghanaian fans will have a special treat as six countrymen will fly the flag at the competition this season.
The first and probably the most recognisable figure is Athletic Club forward Iñaki Williams. The 30-year-old has the most appearances of any Ghanaian (343) and the most goals (76). He will lead his club as vice captain this season and the pressure will surely be a notch higher.
Joseph Aidoo missed most of last season due to an ankle injury, picked up on international duty but is fully fit ahead of the new campaign for Celta Vigo. With 130 league appearances so far, the defender will look to cement a starting spot.

Rayo Vallecano defender Abdul Mumin has been a revelation since joining the club in 2022, scoring once in 36 appearances. He is expected to lead the backline once again as the Red Sashes aim for survival.
Getafe have central midfielder Sabit Abdulai in their books. The 25-year-old has been with the club since 2020 but due to multiple loan spells, has made just three league appearances and is yet to find the net. This season provides a chance for Abdulai to become a more established figure after returning from Murcia on loan.
Valencia midfielder Ali Fadal and Real Valladolid midfielder Eugene Frimpong are yet to taste La Liga football and will be looking to make their debuts in the next few matches.
Will Inaki lead the way in goals again? Or will we see another player take the reins?
