Nigerian singer Davido Adeleke’s much-celebrated wedding song, ‘Ogechi Remix has been removed from YouTube.
The song’s video was taken down due to copyright violations.
Remember that the song, which was sung live at Davido and Chioma’s opulent wedding on June 25, 2024, has been the year’s high point.
“Ogechi Remix,” a collaboration featuring BoyPee, Hyce, and Brown Joel, was released on the day of the wedding and quickly gained popularity among fans.
The music video, which was subsequently uploaded on July 19, 2024, affirmed Davido’s deep affection for his wife, Chioma, through the song’s lyrics.
Despite the buzz surrounding the song, recent developments have caused a stir online. The music video for “Ogechi Remix” has been removed from Davido’s YouTube channel due to copyright claims.
3News’ check indicates that the link to the video on YouTube which was posted by Davido on X after the release of the video no longer shows the music video.
A click on the link from X displays “Video unavailable. This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by King Lion official.”
The audio of the song is still available on BoyPee’s official YouTube page, but the video itself is no longer accessible.
Details surrounding the alleged copyright issues are still sketchy. However, reports suggests that the original version of “Ogechi,” which was remixed by BoyPee, Davido and other collaborators, was created by a different artiste prior to the remix.
