Peter Okoye also known as Mr. P of P-Square has responded to certain allegations and claims by his brother, Paul Okoye known as Rudeboy.
Rudeboy in a recent interview with City FM, Lagos, confirmed the second separation of the music group P-Square claiming that his brother, Mr. P said he was no longer interested in the group and didn’t want to make it public.
Rudeboy also mentioned that they had different visions for their music but he only wanted their come back to work and not repeat the same mistakes.
However, in an open letter to Rudeboy via his Instagram page, Mr. P or Peter claimed that his brother “constantly discredits” his efforts to the P-Square group.
Peter Okoye accused his brother of turning the group into a “laughingstock” rather than uniting as brothers to excel just like the previous, P-Square group.
“My brother neither of us is the most talented artist in the world, but you fail to understand that God gave us this talent and even granted us another chance to excel after our last breakup. Instead, you hose to turn the most awarded and decorated music group in Africa into a laughingstock again,” he said.
Mr. P further accused his brother of teaming up with their elder brother, Jude who used to be their producer denigrate him with the least opportunity he gets.
“Rather than joining forces with me to reclaim our number 1 spot in the music industry, you chose to team up with Jude to claim the number 1 spot in the P-Square group, always looking for opportunities to marginalize and humiliate me,” he added.
The musician questioned his brother asking him to reflect upon the past since their split up if they both have individually make the impact that they use to when they were a group together.
“So, my brother, let me ask you: Is Rudeboy or Mr P bigger and more successful than P-Square today? Are we individually selling out arenas and stadiums like P-SQUARE used to? Are we topping world music charts with our songs as solo artistes? Do we command crowds and entertain massive audiences like P-SQUARE?”
Mr. P mentioned that he has been quiet over several claims and allegations by brother, Paul Okoye for far too long and will not be silent anymore.
He further indicated that he will later address the EFCC arrest of his brother and other issues.
