Minister of Food and Agriculture and Abetifi Member of Parliament, Bryan Acheampong, has reaffirmed the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) commitment to winning the 2024 general elections.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Nsawam, he expressed confidence that the NPP would retain power, stating that the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) would not succeed in the upcoming polls.
Mr. Acheampong emphasized that the NPP is well-prepared and has a capable team ready to use all necessary strategies to ensure victory on December 7, 2024.
He described the NPP as a party exists to win elections and assured supporters that they would not lose this time.
“Whether the NDC likes it or not, they will not win the 2024 elections. They won’t win. The New Patriotic Party is here to win elections,” he said.
He also noted that the party would rely on support from its members, including pastors, imams, and traditional priests, to achieve their goal.
Addressing potential critics of his remarks, Mr. Acheampong was firm: “If you don’t understand, go and burn the sea. We will win the elections and continue the good works of the NPP.”
This isn’t the first time Mr. Acheampong has made similar comments. Earlier this year, during a speech in Mpraeso, he expressed the same level of confidence in the NPP’s ability to win the 2024 elections.
His recent statements in Nsawam reinforce the party’s determination to secure another term in office as they aim to “break the 8″—a reference to the NPP’s goal of winning a third consecutive term.
As the December 2024 elections draw closer, Bryan Acheampong’s bold statements reflect the confidence and determination within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
With the stakes higher than ever, all eyes will be on how the NPP and the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) navigate the political landscape in the coming months.
The campaign promises to be intense, with both parties vying for the chance to be in government. Only time will tell which path the voters will choose.
