Norwich City have agreed a deal with Austrian side RB Salzburg for Forson Amankwah, Flashscore sources can confirm.
The midfielder caught the eye of the Canaries who are in the market to replace Gabriel Sala after he joined Galatasaray.
New Norwich head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup is a big fan of Amankwah having worked with a number of young Ghanaian talents at his former club Nordsjaelland.
Amankwah joined in 2021 and has subsequently gone out on loan at Liefering and Rheindorf Altach.
Last season, the 21-year-old made 27 appearances for Salzburg in all competitions including a debut in the UEFA Champions League.

Amankwah has received a lot of interest this summer from clubs like Anderlecht, Sturm Graz, Norwich, Nordsjaelland, Freiburg, Augsburg, and Stuttgart.
Norwich provided a clear path to the first team and the prospect of playing in England appealed to Amankwah.
Last season, Norwich finished 6th in the Championship and lost out in the semi-finals of the playoffs.
The Canaries are looking to return to the Premier League after being relegated in 2022, and they believe the Ghana international can contribute significantly.
