The Headmistress of 66 Artillery pre-school, Layila Talata Akaduma has admonished parents and guardians to increase love for their children as they will grow to reciprocate what benefit they derived from them as children.
She also urged them to resist all manner of attempts by politicians to lure them into what she described as political unrest situation as they are preparing for the up-coming general elections.
The Headmistress who spoke exclusively with 3news after this year’s graduation ceremony of the pre-school children at the 66 Artillery Regiment in Ho emphasized that elections are vital part of the country’s democratic processes aimed at accelerating development for the people and not destruction for the people.
Madam Akaduma stressed that parents and guardians need to uphold the country’s values, saying they should go into this year’s democratic process with the needed solidarity.
According to madam Akaduma teachers at the pre-school level are adequately equipped with the needed skills to impact knowledge to these future leaders to enable them to develop well into adulthood for the benefit of Ghana.
In view of this, parents and guardians should eschew laziness and be committed to ensuring that they play effective complementary role as they contribute to the building of schools infrastructure base.
The Headmistress reminded parents that early childhood education help in shaping and training children to prepare them for the future.
All these tenets, madam Akaduma noted can not be done in isolation but with support from not only parents and guardians but also stakeholders in education.
The 7 Garrison Education Officer, Cpt. Mensah Ismael has urged parents to invest into the education of their children to ensure that they grow to become responsible adults.
He observed that in other jurisdiction, some parents intentionally fail to be responsible as they indulge in unnecessary spending in alcoholic beverages.
Cpt. Ismael noted that investing in children’s education is like making saving towards the future well-being and urged parents and guardians not to relent in their efforts to ensure that their children grow to assume responsible positions in society.
The early childhood school graduands who distinguished themselves in their academic exploit received certificates.
