Asante Kotoko have completed the signing of Saaka Dauda from Bofoakwa Tano.
The 24-year-old midfielder, who captained his former club to the FA Cup final, has penned a three-year deal with the Porcupine Warriors.
Dauda, known for his dynamic playmaking abilities and goal-scoring prowess, netted eight goals and provided three assists in the Ghana Premier League last season. His impressive performances made him a sought-after target for several clubs.
Kotoko head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum expressed his delight at securing Dauda’s services, highlighting his leadership qualities and technical abilities.
“Saaka Dauda is a player of remarkable talent and character,” Ogum said. “His ability to influence the game both offensively and defensively makes him an invaluable asset. His leadership experience will be crucial as we aim to compete at the highest levels.”
Dauda, thrilled to join Kotoko, said, “Joining Asante Kotoko is a dream come true for me.
Having led Bofoakwa Tano to the MTN FA Cup final, I am eager to bring that same level of dedication and passion to this esteemed club. I am here to work extra hard and take the team to the top.”
This signing marks Kotoko’s seventh acquisition of the transfer window as the club continues to bolster its squad for the upcoming season.
