Great Olympics will be playing in the Ghana Division One League next season after failing to retain their Ghana Premier League status.
Oly Dade had a sigh of relief on Sunday when Real Tamale United, already relegated failed to honour their final match against the Accra-based side. This resulted in a free maximum points awarded to Great Olympics and effectively lifting them above the drop zone.
However, things didn’t go as planned as other results went against them.
Hearts of Lions secured a 2-2 draw to survive while Karela United shocked Medeama with a narrow victory to go up to 12th place on the table.
Olympics with 44 points join RTU and Boafoakwa Tano in demotion with Hearts of Oak narrowly escaping with a tight win over Bechem United.
