Despite missing out on the podium in his first-ever African Games experience, Ibrahim Fuseini remains motivated and believes he can book a place at the upcoming Olympics later in France this year after the 2023 African Games.
“I feel great, lane two was a hard lane to run in and I came fourth and I’m very proud of that. I expect nothing but the best. I’m going back to school to qualify for the Olympics and yeah, we will see”, he told 3Sports’ Yaw Ofosu Larbi after his final race.
Grabbing the headlines on the day, however, was Joseph Paul Amoah who won not just the gold medal in the men’s 200m final, but also the hearts of many Ghanaians at the Legon stadium. Fuseini believes Joseph Paul Amoah is on track to be one of Ghana’s finest sprinters with loads of experience.
