
WAEC is the exam-supervising body of Ghana
The West African Senior Schools Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) will from 2018 be written in May instead of February, the Minister of Education has said.
This is part of measures to streamline the education sector under the Free Senior High School policy.
Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh announced this on Thursday at a press conference to address recent concerns about the policy.
He said the three-year duration for senior high schools does not churn out the best of graduates and so government has decided to extend the period as it mulls a four-year system.
