Black Queens coach Kim Bjorkegren has expressed satisfaction with his team’s dominant performance against Egypt, which secured Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Queens triumphed 7-0 on aggregate, following a 3-0 win in Ismailia and a 4-0 victory in Accra on Tuesday.
Reflecting on the result, Bjorkegren said the team’s growing confidence and cohesion made the difference.
"We respect Egypt, but in the end of the day, it’s an easy game if you win 7-0 over two legs," he said.
"This was the final step into the WAFCON tournament, and we did very well."
The result capped a strong qualifying campaign for the Black Queens, who will aim to build on their bronze-medal performance at the 2024 edition in Morocco.
